Research
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, analyze and interpret in vivo and in vitro experiments
- Design and execution of studies for efficacy
- Assist lab manager with day-to-day activities of Expesicor’s core research laboratory
- Develop working knowledge of existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and draft new procedures to optimize lab workflow
- Oversight of studies for efficacy, mechanism of action, toxicology and pharmacokinetics/drug metabolism, to be carried out at CROs
- Use and maintenance of lab inventory management system
- Grant writing to NIH, NSH, DoD, and private foundations.
- Reports to lab manager and Director of Neuroscience
- Help lead and train lab technicians
- Oversight of junior research scientist internship program
- Assist legal team with writing and filing patents related to research efforts
Core Requirements:

- PhD in Microbiology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, or a related field
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Comfortable with independence within a fast paced working environment

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with lab technicians to execute in vivo and in vitro experiments
- Analyze and interpret data and input into lab inventory management system
- Assist senior research scientists and lab manager with day-to-day activities of Expesicor’s core research lab
- Develop working knowledge of existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and draft new procedures to optimize lab workflow
- Reports to Lab Manager and Director of Neuroscience
- Assist research interns with their projects under Expesicor’s internship program
Core Requirements:

- BS, MS or PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology or a related field
- 1 year of experience in a lab with in vivo operations
- Comfortable with independence within a fast paced working environment

Operations
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day activities of Expesicor’s core research laboratory
- Develop standard operating procedures for monitoring lab inventory, experiment record keeping in electronic lab notebook, and
- Maintenance of lab inventory management system
- Onboard and train new lab hires
- Oversight of studies for efficacy, mechanism of action, toxicology and pharmacokinetics/drug metabolism, to be carried out at CROs
- Project management –lead team to design, execute, analyze and interpret in vivo and in vitro experiments
- Report directly to Director of Neuroscience
Core Requirements:
- Self-starter. Expesicor is growing quickly. We need people with entrepreneurial mind sets who can adapt with Expesicor’s dynamically changing needs.
- Project management background
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2 years experience running an in vivo research lab
- Comfortable with independence in a fast paced working environment.

Internship

- Collaborate with outside contract research organizations for studies of efficacy, mechanism of action, toxicology and pharmacokinetics/drug metabolism
- Collaborate with university researchers on joint research efforts • Use and maintenance of lab inventory management system • Reports directly to lab manager
Core Requirements:
- Self-starter. Expesicor is fast growing startup. We need people with entrepreneurial mind sets who can adapt with Expesicor’s dynamically changing research needs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or current enrollment in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
- Comfortable with independence within a fast paced working environment
